Instructing students with ADHD presents a myriad of challenges, particularly in the realm of foreign language acquisition. Educators experience heightened stress levels in response to these challenges, as considerable energy and time are expended in addressing the unique needs of students with ADHD. Employing a descriptive qualitative research design, this study enlisted the participation of three educators responsible for fifth and eighth-grade classes within inclusive educational settings. Data were gathered through structured interviews with the educators, direct observation of the teaching and learning processes, and scrutiny of pertinent documents. The findings illuminated several challenges faced by English teachers, including time and energy constraints, emotional and behavioral issues, failure to meet educational targets, and a limited mastery of effective teaching methodologies. Notwithstanding the myriad challenges encountered, educators expressed a sense of satisfaction and joy in the process of teaching students with ADHD.
Johara Indrawati Copyright (c) 2024 The Progress: Journal of Language and Ethnicity https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2024-01-29 2024-01-29 2 2 39 50 10.32939/theprogress.v2i2.2823 The Influence of Social Interaction in Language Learning and Communication Skills: A Psycholinguistic Study https://ejournal.iainkerinci.ac.id/index.php/progress/article/view/3530
The aim of this research is to present a broad picture of how social contact influences language acquisition and communication skills. Islamic religious education, particularly during early childhood, is a specific and urgent concern addressed by the family environment. This is because in the current era of digitalization, parents are required to prepare their children to adapt and face the developments of the time. Moral challenges that can impact a child necessitate the teaching of Islamic religious education from an early age. The effectiveness of this education is carried out through the family environment. The implementation of Islamic religious education undoubtedly requires a well-conceptualized educational pattern and effective methods to support the child's education. Therefore, this research aims to analyze the patterns or concepts and relevant methods used for the education of children in the family environment. This qualitative research utilizes a literature review method to analyze research sources. Data is collected from various books, journals, and articles relevant to the research focus. The data is then presented in descriptive form and analyzed based on the stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results of this research reveal conceptual frameworks for implementing Islamic religious education in early childhood through various methods, including setting an example or role-modeling for children, using methods of rewarding or acknowledging their achievements, providing advice, instilling habits aligned with Islamic guidance, direct practice in daily life to familiarize children with doing good deeds, and communication methods involving dialogue with young children. The implementation of Islamic religious education using these methods will shape attitudes, behavior patterns, and morals capable of facing the challenges of the times.
Iril Admizal Hafid Ican Mandala Copyright (c) 2024 The Progress: Journal of Language and Ethnicity https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2024-01-29 2024-01-29 2 2 1 12 10.32939/theprogress.v2i2.3262
