Efektivitas Media PowerPoint Berbasis Pembelajaran Berdasarkan Masalah Terhadap Kompetensi Fisika Siswa

The aim of this study was to see the influence of PBL-based PowerPoint media on students' physics competencies in the material of temperature and expansion. The research methodology used in this study is quasi-experimental with Pre-experimental Design. The population is class XI Science One of the Jambi City High Schools, consisting of 6 classes and 176 students. The sample consisted of two classes, namely class XI Science C and D, which amounted to 60 students. The sample determination technique is in the form of cluster random sampling, from the results of sample determination, XI Science C is obtained as the experimental class and XI Science D as the control class. Based on the results of the hypothesis test using the Paired Sample Test, the experimental class that used PBL-based PowerPoint learning media obtained a significance value of 0.001. Meanwhile, the control class obtained a significance value of 0.412. When consulted with the interpretation criteria, the significance level of the double-sided experimental class was 0.001 < 0.05, while the significance level of the double-sided control class was 0.412 > 0.05. Thus, it can be concluded that Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. This means that there is a significant influence of the use of PBL-based PowerPoint media on students' physics competencies in the material of temperature and expansion.
