Abstract

Character education has become an interesting study in recent years. Its formation is influenced by the deterioration of the character of the protégé in a negative direction, which is caused by various things, including the lack of attachment of parents to the child and factors of technological development. The purpose of this study is to show how to strengthen early childhood character education through the use of love language in Madrasah Alam Insan Rabbani Talang Lindung. This research uses qualitative research methods with data collection techniques in the form of direct observation to the research location, in-depth interviews and documentary studies. The results of this study show that there are several models of using love language through the Chapman concept to mediate parental character education in early childhood, namely: physical contact, acts of service, words of confirmation, and love language models. The verbal model of early childhood character-forming love that is most commonly found in Madrasah Alam Insan Rabbani Talang Lindung is the affirmative words of parents. Based on the results of research, in general parents show affection and care for children when they express advice and even words of encouragement for children.
