PENGUATAN KARAKTER TOLERANSI MELALUI PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM BERBASIS PENDEKATAN SAINTIFIK

Abstract

This research is motivated by a deep concern over the seemingly diminishing tolerance character among students of State Vocational High Schools in the City of Sungai Penuh. Thus, it is deemed necessary to make efforts to strengthen this character through Islamic religious education. To ensure this effort can be well examined, a descriptive qualitative approach is established as the research methodology, where observation, interviews, and documentation studies are used as data collection techniques, which are then processed using flow analysis techniques. The results of this study reveal that strengthening tolerance character through Islamic religious education based on a scientific approach can be successfully implemented by following systematic learning steps. The learning materials are derived from the Qur'an and experiences, with clear and measurable core competencies, supported by a school culture and consistent enforcement of rules and regulations.
