This study aimed to describe students' learning difficulties in solving physics problems on the topic of Newton's Laws of Motion at SMA Negeri 1 Kerinci. This study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. The research subjects consisted of 30 students from class X MIPA 1, selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through essay tests and open-ended questionnaires that had been tested for validity and reliability. The data were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that students experienced learning difficulties at each stage of Polya's problem-solving process, namely understanding the problem (65.55%), planning the solution (74.66%), carrying out the solution (79.10%), and reviewing the answer (46.24%). In addition, the questionnaire results indicated that students' learning difficulties were influenced by internal factors, such as limited conceptual understanding, low learning motivation, and lack of self-confidence, as well as external factors, including teaching methods, learning media, and the learning environment. Therefore, efforts are needed to improve students' problem-solving skills through more active, student-centered learning and continuous practice.
