The Importance of Infrastructure Management in Implementing Guidance and Counseling Services in Senior High Schools
Abstract At present, the management of facilities and infrastructure for the implementation of guidance and counseling in high schools is inadequate. This situation arises from the management practices within these schools. This study aims to uncover the management of facilities and infrastructure in the delivery of guidance and counseling services in high schools. The study employs qualitative research with a naturalistic approach, which depicts the actual conditions without manipulation, but based on data obtained qualitatively through observation and interviews. The subjects of this research were three individuals: one guidance and counseling teacher, the school principal, and one student. Data collection was conducted using interview and observation techniques. The findings of the research indicate that effective management of guidance and counseling infrastructure can potentially provide a solution for management efforts, thereby ensuring the optimal delivery of guidance and counseling services
