Strategi Preservasi Warisan Budaya pada Generasi Muda di Indonesia
Abstract
This study aims to analyze and formulate effective cultural heritage preservation strategies for Indonesian youth amidst the challenges of globalization and the digital revolution. The research focuses on identifying factors that hinder and encourage youth engagement, as well as exploring the role of digital technology as a transformative tool in cultural preservation. This study employs a systematic literature review method with a qualitative approach. Data were analyzed thematically to identify patterns, challenges, and opportunities. The results indicate that youth interest and understanding of culture are heavily influenced by geographical and social environments, with significant gaps between rural and urban youth. This technology functions as a bridge that facilitates creativity, documentation, promotion, and economic empowerment based on culture. The success of preservation highly depends on a triadic synergy between the wisdom of customary institutions (as guardians of authenticity), the creativity of the younger generation (as innovators), and supportive government policies. Based on these findings, it is recommended that future research conduct longitudinal empirical studies to measure the specific impact of digital-based preservation programs on changes in youth attitudes and participation. Furthermore, future research can examine collaborative business models between traditional cultural actors and tech startups, as well as evaluate the effectiveness of communal intellectual property protection policies in the context of the digital economy.
