Advertising Policy

1. General Principles

Al Fiddhoh: Journal of Banking, Insurance, and Finance is committed to maintaining editorial independence, academic integrity, transparency, and the credibility of scholarly publishing. Any advertising activities associated with the journal must be conducted in a manner that does not compromise these principles.

Advertising, sponsorship, or other commercial arrangements must not influence editorial decisions, peer-review outcomes, manuscript acceptance, publication priority, or the scientific content published by the journal.

The journal reserves the right to determine whether advertising is appropriate for its publication platform and may refuse or remove advertisements that conflict with its academic mission, ethical standards, or institutional policies.

2. Separation of Advertising and Editorial Content

Advertising activities, where applicable, must be clearly distinguished from editorial and scholarly content. Advertisements must not be presented in a way that could mislead readers into believing that commercial content has undergone the journal's peer-review process or represents an official editorial endorsement.

Advertisers and sponsors shall have no authority over the selection of manuscripts, the appointment of reviewers, editorial evaluations, or publication decisions. Editorial decisions are made independently on the basis of scholarly quality, originality, relevance, research integrity, and the journal's editorial policies.

3. Acceptable Advertising

The journal may consider advertisements or sponsorships that are relevant to academic research, scholarly communication, education, publishing, or other activities consistent with its scope and institutional values.

All proposed advertisements must be reviewed before publication. The journal may reject advertisements that contain misleading claims, discriminatory content, unethical material, conflicts of interest, or information that could undermine public trust in scholarly communication.

The acceptance of an advertisement does not constitute an endorsement of the advertised product, service, organization, or claim by the journal, its editors, or its publisher.

4. Prohibited Advertising Practices

The journal does not permit advertising practices that:

  • Influence or attempt to influence editorial decisions or peer-review outcomes.

  • Suggest that payment guarantees manuscript acceptance or expedited publication.

  • Misrepresent the journal's reputation, indexing status, accreditation, impact, or publication services.

  • Exploit authors through misleading publication offers or deceptive claims.

  • Create confusion between advertising materials and peer-reviewed scholarly content.

  • Violate applicable laws, institutional requirements, or publication ethics standards.

Advertising must not be used as a means of obtaining preferential treatment in the editorial process.

5. Sponsorship and Financial Support

Any sponsorship or financial support associated with the journal must be managed transparently and must not compromise editorial independence. Where appropriate, relevant sponsorship arrangements will be disclosed.

Financial support must not be conditional on the acceptance of particular manuscripts, favorable editorial treatment, the publication of specific findings, or the suppression of unfavorable research results.

The journal's editorial team retains full authority over editorial policies, peer review, and publication decisions regardless of any financial or institutional support.

6. Responsibilities of Advertisers and the Journal

Advertisers are responsible for ensuring that their advertising materials are accurate, lawful, and compliant with the journal's requirements.

The journal's editorial or management team is responsible for reviewing advertisements, ensuring appropriate separation from scholarly content, and addressing any concerns regarding misleading or inappropriate advertising.

The journal may request revisions, suspend, reject, or remove advertisements that fail to comply with this policy.

7. Advertising and Publication Fees

Advertising arrangements, if any, are separate from manuscript submission, peer review, editorial evaluation, and publication decisions. Payment for advertising does not guarantee publication of a manuscript or preferential treatment in the editorial process.

Any author fees, article processing charges, or other publication-related charges are governed by the journal's separately published fee policy and must not be confused with advertising arrangements.

8. Current Advertising Practice

The journal may operate without commercial advertising. If no advertising is displayed or accepted, this policy remains in place to establish the principles that will apply should advertising activities be introduced in the future.

Any advertising practices adopted by the journal must be consistent with this policy and must preserve editorial independence, transparency, and the integrity of scholarly communication.

9. Policy Review

This policy will be reviewed periodically and revised when necessary to reflect changes in the journal's operations, institutional requirements, and recognized publication ethics standards.
