Manuscript Type

Edumatika : Jurnal Riset Pendidikan Matematika accepts two types of manuscripts: Original Research Articles and Review Articles. All manuscripts must address topics within the journal's focus and scope, be written in English, and follow the journal's author guidelines and official article template.

1. Original Research Article

Original Research Articles report original findings from empirical studies that contribute to the advancement of knowledge and practice in mathematics education. These articles may employ qualitative, quantitative, or mixed-methods approaches, including experimental studies, classroom research, design research, and other appropriate research methodologies.

Manuscripts must clearly present the research problem, objectives, methodology, findings, and contributions to mathematics education. They must follow the Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion (IMRaD) structure, including an abstract and conclusion, in accordance with the journal's article template.

The methods section must provide sufficient detail to support the transparency and rigor of the research, while the results and discussion sections must present and interpret the findings in relation to relevant literature and the study's objectives.

2. Review Article

Review Articles provide a systematic synthesis and critical analysis of existing research on a specific topic in mathematics education. They should identify patterns and trends in the literature, examine the state of current knowledge, identify research gaps, and offer implications for future research, theory, or practice.

The journal accepts rigorous literature review approaches, including Systematic Literature Reviews (SLR), meta-analyses, and other systematic evidence synthesis methods that meet appropriate methodological standards.

Review Articles must follow the Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion (IMRaD) structure, adapted to the review methodology. The methods section must clearly describe the review questions, information sources, search strategy, eligibility criteria, study selection, data extraction, and analysis or synthesis procedures, as applicable. The results section must report the findings of the review systematically, while the discussion must critically interpret the findings and explain their implications for mathematics education.

Narrative summaries that lack a transparent and rigorous review methodology may not be considered suitable for publication.

All manuscripts, regardless of type, are subject to the journal's editorial screening and peer-review process. Acceptance depends on the manuscript's relevance, originality, methodological rigor, scholarly contribution, and compliance with the journal's publication policies.
