Post-Publication Discussion

Jurnal Islamika: Jurnal Ilmu-ilmu Keislaman is committed to promoting open scholarly dialogue, constructive academic criticism, and continuous intellectual engagement with its readership. The journal welcomes discussions, comments, and feedback on published articles as an essential part of scholarly communication. Post-publication discussion contributes to the advancement of knowledge, encourages critical inquiry, strengthens academic integrity, and enhances the quality of research across various disciplines of Islamic studies.

Recognizing the diversity of scholarly perspectives within Islamic studies, the journal encourages respectful and evidence-based discussions on published research, including Islamic theology, Qur'anic and Hadith studies, Islamic law, Islamic education, Islamic history, Islamic economics, and contemporary religious and social issues. Differences in theoretical approaches, methodological perspectives, religious interpretations, and scholarly arguments are welcomed as part of constructive academic discourse, provided that discussions remain respectful, objective, and grounded in credible scholarly evidence.

Readers, researchers, and members of the academic community who wish to comment on or provide feedback regarding published articles may contact the Editor-in-Chief through the official contact information available on the journal's website. Readers may also participate in post-publication discussions through the independent online platform PubPeer, which facilitates open discussion and critical evaluation of published scholarly research. Comments should focus on the academic substance of the article, including its methodology, interpretation, argumentation, sources, and research findings, rather than personal criticism of the authors.

The Editorial Board may review substantive concerns raised through post-publication discussions and, when appropriate, invite the authors to respond or provide clarification. Where discussions reveal significant errors, inaccuracies, or potential ethical concerns, the journal may consider appropriate editorial actions, including the publication of corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions, in accordance with relevant Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidance and the journal's publication ethics policies.

Jurnal Islamika: Jurnal Ilmu-ilmu Keislaman is committed to improving accessibility, transparency, and participation in post-publication scholarly discussions. The journal plans to introduce a commenting feature on its official website, enabling readers to engage more directly with published articles. This initiative is intended to foster a more inclusive, interactive, and constructive academic environment while supporting the ongoing development of scholarship in Islamic studies.

Through this policy, Jurnal Islamika: Jurnal Ilmu-ilmu Keislaman seeks to maintain a scholarly environment that values intellectual openness, academic responsibility, respectful disagreement, and the continuous refinement of knowledge through critical discussion.
