Allegation of Research Misconduct
Al Dzahab: Journal of Economics, Management, Business and Accounting is committed to promoting its scholarly publications and academic activities through ethical, transparent, and responsible communication practices.
All direct marketing activities conducted by the journal must uphold academic integrity, respect the privacy of recipients, and comply with applicable laws, institutional requirements, and recognized scholarly publishing ethics standards.
Direct marketing must not involve misleading claims, deceptive practices, unsolicited mass messaging, or any activity that could damage the reputation of the journal or the trust of the academic community.
The journal may use direct communication to disseminate information about its scope, publication schedules, calls for papers, newly published articles, special issues, editorial announcements, and other relevant scholarly activities.
Such communications are intended to reach researchers, lecturers, academics, students, librarians, and other members of the scholarly community who may have a legitimate interest in the journal's publications and activities.
Direct marketing must serve an academic and informational purpose rather than create inappropriate pressure on prospective authors to submit manuscripts.
The journal may communicate through appropriate channels, including:
The journal's official website and Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform.
Official institutional email addresses and mailing lists.
Academic conferences, seminars, workshops, and scholarly networks.
Official social media accounts and other authorized communication platforms.
Announcements distributed through relevant academic or institutional partners.
All communications must clearly identify the journal or the authorized representative responsible for the message.
The journal shall ensure that its direct marketing activities are accurate, professional, and consistent with its actual publication practices.
The journal shall not:
Make false or exaggerated claims about indexing, accreditation, impact factors, acceptance rates, publication speed, or journal rankings.
Guarantee manuscript acceptance in exchange for payment or other benefits.
Use deceptive subject lines, misleading invitations, or fabricated endorsements.
Send repeated or excessive promotional messages that may be considered spam.
Impersonate other journals, publishers, indexing services, academic institutions, or researchers.
Pressure recipients to submit manuscripts or participate in journal activities.
Promote publication opportunities that are inconsistent with the journal's actual scope, editorial policies, or publication schedule.
All promotional information must be verifiable and must accurately represent the journal's editorial standards, publication processes, and services.
Email communications must be sent responsibly and only to recipients for whom the communication is relevant and appropriate. Where required by applicable law or institutional policy, the journal must obtain consent before sending promotional messages.
The journal shall respect recipients' privacy and comply with applicable personal data protection requirements. Contact information obtained for editorial or scholarly purposes must not be used for unrelated promotional activities without an appropriate legal basis or authorization.
Recipients should be provided with a reasonable means to decline or opt out of non-essential promotional communications. Requests to stop receiving such communications must be respected within a reasonable period.
Confidential information obtained through manuscript submission, peer review, or editorial correspondence must never be used for unauthorized marketing purposes.
The Editor-in-Chief, editorial team, and authorized journal representatives are responsible for ensuring that direct marketing activities comply with this policy.
Any third party authorized to promote the journal must follow the same ethical standards. The journal remains responsible for monitoring promotional activities conducted on its behalf and addressing any misleading or inappropriate communications.
Marketing activities must remain separate from editorial evaluation. Participation in promotional activities, payment for advertising, or other commercial arrangements must not influence manuscript acceptance, peer-review outcomes, or editorial decisions.
Recipients who believe that a communication from the journal is misleading, excessive, inappropriate, or inconsistent with this policy may contact the journal's editorial office.
The journal will review complaints and, where necessary, take appropriate corrective action. Such action may include correcting inaccurate information, discontinuing a communication campaign, removing misleading promotional materials, or restricting the activities of representatives who violate this policy.
This policy will be reviewed periodically to ensure that the journal's direct marketing practices remain ethical, transparent, and consistent with applicable requirements and scholarly publishing standards.
Al Dzahab: Journal of Economics, Management, Business and Accounting reserves the right to revise this policy as necessary to protect the interests of authors, reviewers, readers, and the wider academic community.
