Allegation of Research Misconduct
Al Dzahab: Journal of Economics, Management, Business and Accounting publishes original scholarly manuscripts that contribute to the advancement of knowledge and practice in economics, management, business, and accounting, particularly in areas relevant to Islamic economics and business, organizational development, financial management, and contemporary economic challenges.
The journal welcomes manuscripts that demonstrate academic rigor, methodological appropriateness, theoretical relevance, and practical or policy implications. Submissions must fall within the journal's scope and comply with its author guidelines and publication ethics policies.
The journal considers the following types of manuscripts:
Original research articles report the results of empirical or analytical studies that provide new evidence, insights, or contributions to existing knowledge. These manuscripts may employ quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-methods approaches.
Topics may include, but are not limited to, economics, Islamic economics and finance, management, entrepreneurship, business strategy, marketing, human resource management, financial management, accounting, auditing, taxation, corporate governance, and organizational performance.
Research articles must clearly present the research problem, theoretical foundation, methodology, findings, discussion, conclusions, and implications. The analysis should be supported by appropriate evidence and relevant scholarly literature.
Conceptual and theoretical articles develop, critically examine, or extend concepts, theories, models, and frameworks relevant to the journal's scope. These manuscripts should provide a clear theoretical contribution rather than merely summarize existing literature.
Authors should demonstrate the relevance of the proposed arguments, critically engage with established scholarship, and explain the implications for future research, professional practice, or policy development.
Review articles provide systematic, critical, or integrative examinations of existing research on a clearly defined topic. The journal welcomes systematic literature reviews, scoping reviews, and other rigorous forms of evidence synthesis that contribute to a deeper understanding of relevant scholarly debates.
Review manuscripts must explain their literature identification, selection, and analysis procedures transparently. Where applicable, authors are encouraged to follow established reporting guidelines, such as PRISMA for systematic reviews.
A review article must offer a meaningful synthesis, identify research gaps, and outline implications for future studies or practice. A descriptive summary of previous publications without critical analysis or synthesis is insufficient.
Case study articles provide an in-depth examination of a specific organization, business, institution, community, policy, or economic phenomenon. These manuscripts should offer analytical insights that extend beyond a description of a particular case.
Authors must explain the case selection, data sources, analytical procedures, and relevant ethical considerations. The findings should contribute to broader theoretical understanding, managerial practice, accounting practice, or policy development.
Methodological articles introduce, develop, evaluate, or apply research methods, analytical techniques, measurement instruments, or methodological frameworks relevant to economics, management, business, and accounting.
Such manuscripts should demonstrate methodological rigor, explain the advantages and limitations of the proposed approach, and establish its contribution to research practice. Merely applying an established statistical technique without a meaningful methodological contribution does not qualify as a methodological article.
Regardless of manuscript type, all submissions must:
Demonstrate originality and a clear contribution to the journal's scope.
Present a well-defined research question, objective, or scholarly argument.
Engage critically with relevant and credible academic literature.
Use appropriate research methods and provide sufficient methodological transparency.
Present findings and arguments in a coherent, evidence-based manner.
Discuss the theoretical, practical, or policy implications of the work, as appropriate.
Comply with the journal's formatting, citation, authorship, and publication ethics requirements.
Be written in clear academic English or Indonesian, subject to the journal's language policy.
All submissions are subject to an initial editorial assessment and, if considered suitable, a peer-review process in accordance with the journal's editorial policies. Submission does not guarantee acceptance or publication.
