Review Policy
Journal of Da’wah implements a rigorous peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, academic integrity, and scholarly contribution of all published manuscripts.
All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial screening to evaluate:
- relevance to the journal’s focus and scope,
- compliance with the author guidelines,
- academic quality,
- and similarity screening results.
Manuscripts that pass the initial evaluation will proceed to the peer review stage.
The journal applies a double-blind peer review system, in which:
- reviewers do not know the identity of the authors,
- and authors do not know the identity of the reviewers.
Each manuscript is reviewed by independent reviewers with relevant expertise in the subject area. Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on several criteria, including:
- originality and novelty,
- theoretical contribution,
- methodological rigor,
- analytical depth,
- clarity of presentation,
- relevance to da’wah studies,
- and the overall scholarly significance of the manuscript.
Based on the reviewers’ recommendations, the editorial decision may include:
- Accept Submission,
- Minor Revision,
- Major Revision,
- or Reject Submission.
Authors may be asked to revise their manuscripts in response to reviewer comments and editorial recommendations. Revised manuscripts may undergo further review before a final decision is made.
The Editor-in-Chief has full authority over the final decision regarding manuscript acceptance and publication.
To maintain publication ethics and academic integrity, all review processes are conducted confidentially and in accordance with the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
